I always thought the Samsung Exclaim was a great phone, I heard its features were great and it was a good phone for texting. I have samsung Exclaim for a week, and I think about to bring it back, i love the texing, but it has to many cons for me, internet goes slow, alot of times is not open the websites or pic's, picture Id not able to see,have ringtones on my sd, not able to download on phone, no games on just demos:(

I would definitly get the samsung exclaim because of the dual sliders and u have more space to text and you can do it either way, the colors are also nice for the exclaim. Yeah so over all i would get the newer one the samsung exclaim

I get angry. Some people don't agree with the ESRB, and I am not going to get into that, but if a game is rated M, then the child shouldn't be have it. If the child does, it means you aren't doing your job as a guardian to watch the child. Video games make you more violent? I think not. Does a soldier come home from war, ready to go on a killing spree? Violent people are predisposed to violence before they ever pick up the controller. In many ways, video games help vent out violent tendencies that were already there, acting as therapy for people with anger issues.





I could go at great length about why video games do not make you violent, but this interesting Reuter's article lays out the facts more eloquently. Enjoy.





';New study finds that happy people can play violent video games and stay happy, but angry people should try to relax first.





We've all heard it before; violent video games make violent children. Years of study on the subject has brought us the message that violent acts are instigated by video games. Contradictory studies have found though that there is no connection between violent games and violent people. But as it goes with mass media, finding a vague reference (kid plays video game, then kills another kid with parents gun) to scare the viewer and or reader into paying attention pays off. Cut to commercial or ad, buy the new car, stare at the super model for a second and everyones happy.





A paper published in 'Psychology, Crime %26amp; Law' (just guess what it's about) claims that there is no real direct link between violent video games and real world violence. Though the paper published does contain examples from studies claiming there is that video game/violent acts connection, there are also a number of other referenced studies suggesting there is no link whatsoever. It's believed that these previous studies may have unfairly skewed the results, simply trying to determine whether or not video games caused violent acts in people. With only having 'Yes' and 'No' for answers, those studies couldn't be regarded as creditable.





This new study designed a test that would use 135 kids to measure violence and video games. Unfortunately, some of the kids were kicked out for violent behavior. In the end, 110 boys and 15 girls with a mean age of 14.6 years were given a test to determine their anger level. Once determined, they got to play Quake 2 for about 20 minutes (and why not Quake 4 I ask you?). Their anger levels were again measured after the brief gaming frag fest.





The researchers had found that 77 of the kids had no change in their anger levels. In 22 of the children, their anger levels nearly doubled, even though they had started at the near same point of those unaffected 77 children. But 8 of the kids who had started the test with a high level of anger actually had their anger levels diminish after gaming. Their anger levels in fact dropped to about the same level of those unaffected children.





The researchers then correlated these results with personality profiles of the 110 children. Those with a seemingly stable personality were largely unaffected by the violent video game. The remaining two groups of kids consisted of those who's personalties were less than stable. They were the ones who displayed violent tendencies after playing a violent video game.





This discovery brought the research team to a definite conclusion. There are two groups of individuals. The stable individual will be largely unaffected by a violent video game. But to the contrary, an unstable personality may be affected. It all really boils down to how a gamer feels before they start to game. Stable personalities who entered angry were actually relaxed after gaming. But unstable individuals who game angry can get even angrier. They were also careful to note that in two cases a couple of kids had their anger levels rise to levels that would be consider cause for alarm. So, that's about one in a hundred. This suggests that violent behavior is rarely triggered by violent video games. Ha, I knew it! Take that anti-video game lobbyist groups.





The authors of the study made it very clear though that their study shouldn't be considered as the final word on the matter. It's certain that countless groups will jump foreword to denounce these findings in favor of heir own. The link between age and aggression still isn't clear, it it's hoped that this study will be reproduced with other video games and gamers of different ages. I for one know that if were forced to play 'Barbie's Magic Dream Horse' for twenty minutes, I'd maim or kill the first person to look at me. Conversely, wasting some rush of zombies in 'Dead Rising' is something I will actually do with the intent of calming down. And it helps!





But to the research teams benefit, they decided to leave out a large collection of contradictory data from their resulting figures. Trying to correlate violent behavior and video games to hair color and date of birth serves no purpose, and only serves to confuse study findings. That's most likely the reason why so many studies in the past have failed, trying to find that magic button that would show a definite link between violence and video games.';
I don't care about the ratings. I'll buy the game if I like the game. Protesting against videogame violence is no use because violence will always be there no matter where you look.

I've never seen or heard of a militant atheist. No one bombs pro-life rallies in the name of atheism. When churches are bombed it's by other religious nuts not atheists. No crusade to recapture MIT for the atheist cause has ever been undertaken in the name of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Hardware wizard keeps popping up saying the hardware cant be installed because the wizard cannot find the neccessary software.





in the user guide on page 112 it says with the ';microSD inserted';





how and where do i insert that?


will it work after that?

After plugging in the phone, it will pop up a found new hard ware wizard. CANCEL IT OUT. You don't need this and you will eventually be able to bypass it.





1) The next step is to go to the phone, look for the symbol of a little house inside a yellow box (Page 111 of your owner manual). Press OK





2) Scroll down and highlight Tools and then hit OK





3)Scroll down to Mass Storage hit OK


4) Highlight Connect to PC hit OK.





It should now say Connected to PC, call disabled.





If you dont have Connected to PC, call disabled, then hit Connect to pc again. Sometimes you have to do it 2-3 times.





Sometimes it will pop up the Found New hardware wizard during the above process. If it does, just keep hitting Cancel.





You're all set.





On your computer, click MY COMPUTER


You should now see a new ';hard drive'; listed in there. It will say E: Removable Disk (or possibly another letter, but it will say removable disk on it).





You are now viewing everything on your MicroSD card thats already inside your phone.





Now double click on that in My computer. You'll see a folder inside there called Music. There is where you copy (or drag and drop) your mp3 music into

I'm looking to get either a Palm Centro, Samsung Rant, or Samsung Exclaim. I've done all kinds of comparison shopping, but can't figure out if any files are supported by Rant or Exclaim - like Word documents, PDF's, or PowerPoint slides. My Instinct can open these files when saved from an email attachment.

I don't think that many need replaced, or that there are that many choices. Florida and Nashville need to go, Winnipeg and Southern Ontario (not necessarily Hamilton) need teams. If I had to choose six cities they would be the same as yours.

I've been told so many times that I accept 9-11 crackpot theories and that I am an antisemite, I was starting to think perhaps I was living some sort of dream state life I failed to recall. I wasn't.





The also suggest, especially in these forums, I must be black, not work, and some sort of crook. They tell me I can't be interested in firearms. Those are a little hard to follow, since I put in almost 70 hours a week, pass law enforcement criminal investigations all the time, give testimony in court on ballistics matters, and own, right now, a LOT of rifles and handguns.





But then, they're apparently not very good with details.

I honestly think once both sides have some competent leaders at the helm, the bickering will be greatly reduced. Last administration had some real yahoos - and I'm not even talking about Dubya. My only real beef with him was that he picked some real snakes for advisors (especially Cheney and Rumsfeld). Had he picked some more competent, less war-hungry assistants I'm sure his administration would be looked at a bit differently than it is now.





Jury's still out on Obama. His administration has done a lot of nothing in the past 2/3 of this year. Doesn't look too good in the forseeable future, either.





Both parties are full of incompetent, self-serving jackals who probably have no business holding public office in the first place. I'm sure it's been that way for a long time, but it's never been more evident than it is right now. I know it might be blasphemy, but I actually kinda miss the Clinton administration. Bill may have been a snake who did a piss-poor job of controlling his personal life, but at least he was capable of running the country.
Now, that's an idea. : ) I will start by saying I think this country should come together and look at how we are behaving. We should all contribute to this nation. We shouldn't rely on others to support us. We shouldn't become offended so easily. We shouldn't expect handouts. We should put our faith back into God. We should realize our future doesn't look to bright and know what we want is not always right, but what we need is more important. Our children will be affected by our actions. We are the examples for the future of America. Our children have some pretty poor examples right now.
Knowledge comes from understanding the free market, the declaration of independence, and freedom.

sprint music store saves files onto the phone that only the phone can save and read. 1.do you have a data cable? 2. a memory card. 3. ur own music on ur computer. you would just have to drag and drop ur music from ur computer to ur memory card via a memory card reader or the data cable. after that in ur phone go under tools tools--%26gt; mass storage--%26gt; file manager--%26gt;memory card. all ur music u just dropped into the card should be there.Can I download mp3s from my computer to the Samsung Rant?
From what I've seen, the Rant is very similar to the Samsung 450 messenger I got from Metro PCS. If it came with a USB cable, just plug it into your PC and let it install drivers. Once it recognizes your phone, it should show up under ';My Computer'; as a phone, media device, or removabledisk.


When you open the new disk/phone/device, you should see multiple folders. Look for a folder that says ';Music'; You can then copy MP3 files directly to that folder. I would suggest copying files from the same artist under one folder with the artist' name, so the phone may sort by artist. I hope this works for you!
when you open the back there is and micro sd card that is AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER take that out and put it in the bigger card you got put it into your computer the drag you can also put songs from it into your computer

Well damn, you guys need to make up your minds and so does Obama. During the campaign, Obama and you guys had a snit fit because somebody used his middle name. Now that he's being sworn in it's ok to use his middle name but it's not ok to comment about it. I can predict which way the wind is going to blow easier than I can figure out what the hell you guys on the left are going to decide is politically correct. Make up you minds, please.
I think the rant was about how anyone who used it during the election campaign was labelled ';racist';. Barry Sotero picked that name out for himself, it's not like those of us who had a name they don't like hung on them at birth. I don't care if it was ';Saddam';. The names I object to being used, are the same one as previous Presidents, especially if they are closely related.

That was pretentious to me also.

I would avoid the LG Rumor no matter what! It's a great phone for the first few months, but everyone I know who has one (including me) it has broken within 4 to 6 months. I disagree. My friend and i got the LG Rumor at the same time exactly one year ago, and both of ours are still working perfectly fine. it does slide, however its sideways. it slides out to the left. the keyboard is fantastic, i love it.


no touchscreen, but honestly, touchscreens arent good because they break easily.


speakerphone it does have. i just havent figured out how to work it.


it is a picture phone, with a great camera, however its a little delayed.


buttons are really easy to push, and the phone is extremely durable. i got mine on christmas, and i never put it down because i love it so much. its an amazing phone. its not confusing either, its actually a really simple yet awesome phonee. i recommend it 100%.

It won't change my opinion because I already disliked him. Do i think the rant was justified? Heck no. I find it annoying when each bash eachother. i like tna better because of the matches, but they do have rushed storylines. The reason for that is a 1 hour show each week. They need 2 hours badly. I live in Michigan by Lake Erie and my wife and I are retired for over





two years now....there is life after work..believe me

I work as an activist in my local community and have posted upwards of 400 pages of political blogs. I know noone reads them, but it is important to share ideas, maybe you'll have one people like.
I told my Representative that he was a loser and a dirtball and then asked him to get off my porch. He isn't running for reelection. Maybe I had an impact.
Well for one thing, I have served MY country and my two sons are serving NOW and my husband is a ret VN vet....I think I have the right to voice my opinions.... that being said.. What have YOU done?
