Why do people rant and rave about Oreos?

They're the most overated biscuits on the market, there's nothing special about them at all. They're boring, and taste just like Bourbon biscuits which can be brought for about 20p a pack at Tescos.Why do people rant and rave about Oreos?
Oreos are the best cookies of commercial manufacturing for that price. $5 for a package of crispy cookies that won't hit the spot, or $2.50 for a package of Oreos that will satisfy my sweet tooth with four cookies. Though, I would take Pepperidge Farm cookies over Oreos any day.Why do people rant and rave about Oreos?
Oreos are just a disgusting variation of custard creams.





And eryth (the ';best answerer';) : 2.50 for a pack of oreos is a complete rip-off, you can get a pack of plain custard creams (like oreos, but good) for around 50p. That, and if what your buying are crispy, then they aren't cookies.

Not only are Oreos ';boring';, THEY DON'T EVEN TASTE GOOD! The so-called chocolate cookie part of it doesn't taste ANYTHING like chocolate at all!





I grew up in the '50s and '60s when Oreos were really catching on, and I never understood why anyone would think they were special. Glad I'm not alone in that assessment.





Give me a molasses cookie or a piece of real chocolate fudge ANY DAY. Oreos are a colassal disappointment!!
They're not as good as they used to be, once they took the lard out of the creme filling they were never the same.





I don't understand why people untwist them, lick them, and then put them back together, that's pretty much a waste of time.





But have you had peanut-butter DoubleStuff Oreos? Dunked in milk, they're really very good.





Or regular Oreos, dipped in batter and deep-fried. Those are REALLY good, it changes the whole texture of the cookie. Have you tried those?
The same reason they rant and rave over Starbucks coffee--because everyone else is ranting and raving over it. Both are good, actually. But I know what you mean. People grab a hold of trends and take them to the extreme. Nothing else to do, I guess.
I agree.... they are not that fabulous.... chips ahoy are better, or shortbread.... make your own cookies! Oreos suck!!!! But people just eat what everyone else is eating and they like them with milk and they like to twist them open and eat the filling before the wafer.... that is why.
Because their American food! You would not understand. Please continue to eat your bland pork pies and buscuits for dessert. Make mine chocolatey double stuffed OREO'S from the USA.

its when they are really soggy from tha milk that makes them so good. not avey cookie gets real soggy n yummy without fallin apart..

Oreos are good tasting. But sandwich cookie with double fudge is good enough for me
and, you know i agree with the first three people, plus when you twist the top off, the cream doesn't rip apart.
